William Bill R. Weatherly, age 82, of Rochester, passed away at Season's Hospice House on Saturday, January 30, 2016 with his family at his side. William was born on May 3, 1933, in Kasson, Minnesota, to Floyd and Ruth (VanAllen) Weatherly. Bill served in the United States Navy from 1953-1957 and was honorably discharged. On October 26, 1957, he married Ethel Dottie Batzel. Bill worked for Waters Conley, Telex, Lake Center Industries, and AFC in Chatfield working as shipping and receiving manager. He retired in 1985. Bill enjoyed the North Country, camping, fishing and a good fish fry. He also enjoyed auctions/flea markets, playing cards, cribbage, trips to the casinos with friends, and coffee at Hy-Vee. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion in Eyota. Bill is survived by his children, Rick (Barb) Weatherly and Renee Weatherly both of Rochester; grandchildren, Krista (Dan) Lutzi, Josh Weatherly and Corrin Weatherly; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Clayton Lutzi; and sister, Virginia Gruhlke of Texas.Bill was preceded in death by his wife Dottie; sister, Donna Stanton; and brother, Lloyd Curly Weatherly. We all thank you for the many Billisms you shared with us over the years of your life. Per William's wishes, his body was cremated and will be interred during a private graveside service next to his wife in Oakwood Cemetery with full military honors.
