William Raveling

William (Bill) Dean Raveling, age 72, of Waseca, MN passed away Sunday May,19th 2024 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Mary's Campus in Rochester.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday May 30th, 2024 from 12-4pm at the Ellendale Community Center. All are welcome. Burial will follow at a later date.

William (Bill) Dean Raveling was born February 8th, 1952 in Montevideo, Minnesota. He was the son of Jacob and Ovidia Raveling. Bill grew up in Montevideo, MN where he graduated from high school in 1970.

Bill was married on March 22, 1991 to the love of his life, Teresa Welch. Together they raised seven children.

He was an avid cribbage player, enjoyed watching wrestling with the family, and loved telling, and re-telling all his crazy stories.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife Teresa Raveling; his parents, Ovidia and Jacob Raveling; sister Gertrude Raveling, and brothers Howard Raveling, Albert Raveling, Jacob Raveling Jr., and Raland Raveling.

Remembering Bill with love are his children Marcy (Bernie) Wlazlak of Montevideo MN, Shanna (Aaron) Hofland of Willmar MN, Joe (Jamie) Raveling of Nashua, IA, Brandon Raveling of Inver Grove Heights MN, Brianna (Ryan) Stinnett of Austin MN, Desiree (Jacob) Phelps of New Richland MN, Caytlin (Prince) Raveling of Gilbert, AZ. Grandchildren Kenny (Bailey), Elizabeth, Arianna (Preston), Dakota, Mariah, Nichole, Justice, Riley, Alacia, Brayden, Alexander, Elliot, Braelynn, Princeston, Braizlee, Princess, great granddaughter Lucille, his brother Alfred (Linnea) Raveling, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
