Rochester- William H. Holland, 70, longtime Rochester area Cook, died at his home following a lengthy illness on Thursday, March 29, 2012.Agraveside service will be held 1:00 P.M.Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Zumbrota City Cemetery in Zumbrota, Minnesota. William Henry Holland was born in Rochester, MN. January 8, 1942 to R.N. (Bud) Holland and Dorothy Mae (Carstens) Holland.He attended Rochester High School.He Joined the US Navy, andafter returning to Rochesterhe attended Rochester Vo-Tech to become a chef. He married Linda Kruger in Rochester, February 12, 1972 . They later divorced.He married Lily M. Olson in 1993.She died in 1997.William cooked for many Rochester Restaurants.He also owned and operated Huey's Cigar Store in Rochester for 2 years.He retired due to poor health. He is survived by a son William Keith Holland of Rochester,MN. and a daughter Victoria Holland of Stewartville, MN. Four grandchildren Jeremiah Holland, Alexis Holland, Ashton Holland and Preston Holland and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister Georgia Holland and his parents.
