William "Bill" Weatherly

William "Bill" Weatherly, 85, of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 3, 2019 surrounded by his family at Saint Marys Hospital. William "Bill" Weatherly was born on November 15, 1934 and grew up in Kasson, MN. On July 7, 1956 he married Kathryn Gannon and they had four children. Bill retired from A.E. Conrad Company out of Minneapolis, MN where he had been a plasterer for 40 years. During his early retirement he enjoyed traveling with Katie, doing projects, painting and gardening. Over the years he also enjoyed going to morning coffee with his friends which he continued to do until very recently. Bill also enjoyed reading, bird watching, driving his orange truck and frequent visits with his granddaughters, Erin and Amy and their husbands, Dave and Noah. He continued to live at the home he helped build in 1959 and felt fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful neighbors. He was a supporter of the American Legion Post 92 and VFW Post 1215. He was also a long-time member of the Huff & Puff Club. He is survived by his daughter, Shari (Don) Weatherly Adler of Holiday, FL; grandchildren, Travis Kruger, Tonya Zimmerman, Erin (David) Baker of Maple Grove, MN and Amy (Noah) Gronemeyer of LeRoy, MN; two great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katie; one daughter, Susan Weatherly and two sons, Bryan and Todd Weatherly. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and quick come backs. Bill will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN). Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. There will be a burial at a later date at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
