Willard Rasmussen

Willard Rasmussen, 83, of Rochester (formerly of Fond du Lac, WI) passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, at The Waters on Mayowood, comforted by his wife and two children. He had had a long struggle with dementia and cancer. He will be celebrated at a private memorial service and burial at a later date. Willard was born in Richland Center, WI,July 11th, 1933. He graduated from Richland Center High School then served the Navy during the Korean War on the USS Shadwell. After leaving service, he joined IBM and married Phyllis Siewert. He and his wife moved to Rochester in 1966 and raised two children, Pamela and Paul. He is survived by his wife of nearly fifty-nine years and their two children. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Olena, and two sisters, Lorna and Arlene. The family would like to thank all of the people at the Mayo hospice and The Waters for the loving care he received.
