At the age of 99, loving mother and grandmother WillaBelle Nelson passed away peacefully on April 26, 2020. She was born on July 22, 1920 in Charles City, Iowa and resided in Minnesota throughout her adult life. WillaBelle was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Zoa Logan, husband Wesley, brother Reverend Raymond Logan and great-grandson Michael Nordyke. WillaBelle is survived by her three children: Wendell of Dodge Center, Judy (Bob) Engstrom of Prior Lake, and Cynthia (Jeff) Larsen of St. Paul. She was a devoted grandmother to four granddaughters, nine great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. After marrying in 1939, Wesley and WillaBelle farmed in Dodge County. In their retirement, they lived in Kasson and then Rochester. They enjoyed traveling and later purchased a home in Mesa, Arizona where they wintered for many years. While there, they developed several cherished friendships. Known for her faith in God and her ability to connect with people of all ages, WillaBelle will be remembered for her thankful heart and loving spirit. She will be missed by not only her family but also her many dear friends who often came to visit and to enjoy a cup of tea and a heartfelt conversation. WillaBelle looked forward to her heavenly home and the family takes comfort in her eternal peace. Private graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Mantorville with a public memorial announced at a later date.
