Wesley Floyd Wussow, Jr. (Smoke) age 63 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at his home in Rochester, MN. Wes was born on March 7, 1958 to Wesley Wussow Sr. and Joyce Ann (Nesler) (Helmbrecht) Wussow. Wes attended school in Rochester, MN. He married Bev Hannenberger in 1981.Emily Joyce Wussow was born to Wes and Bev on April 21, 1988. Wes and Bev later divorced. Most of his life he was widely known as one of Rochester's best sheetrock tapers. After being disabled from years of taping he spent years truck driving over the road with his friend "Trucker Tom." He saw many states and had many adventures while trucking. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Wes was a man of many talents. Wes would sing karaoke and was a great dancer. His most precious gift was his daughter, Emily. He truly worshipped her. Survivors include his daughter Emily Gustafson (Aaron) of Rochester; two sisters, Judy Theel (Russell) of Rochester and Tami Baker (Ken) of Rochester; two brothers, Rick Wussow (Peggy) of Stewartville and Roger Wussow of Rochester; an uncle, Norm Nesler (Shari) of Pine Island; and two aunts, Marjorie Oeltjen (Ernest) of Rochester and Lori Nesler of West St. Paul and many, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Mrytle Wussow and Norm Nesler Sr and Alvina Nesler; his mother, Joyce Welke and father, Wes Wussow Sr and his sister Joann Luther and uncle Herbert Nesler. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be at Grandview Memorial Garden, 1300 Marion Road SE, Rochester, MN.
