Wayne F. Demydowich, 54, of Rochester, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at The Mayo Clinic, St. Marys campus. Wayne was born May 31, 1963 in Winnipeg, Canada to Frank and Lucille (Champagne) Demydowich. He grew up in Minneapolis and then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy, stationed in California. While he was stationed in California, Wayne met Peggy Smith. Wayne and Peggy were united in marriage on October 16, 1986 in Minneapolis. Wayne worked as a computer analyst for Image Stream Medical. He enjoyed running marathons, riding his bike and motorcycle, flying in his plane and going fishing with his grandson and son-in-law. Wayne loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Wayne was a generous man and ultimately gave the greatest gift by being an organ donor. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; daughters, Amanda (Kevin) Podein of Rochester, Samantha Demydowich of Preston, MN; grandchildren, Haley Podein, Christopher Demydowich, Nevaeh, Allysa and Makayla Tjepkes; father, Frank Demydowich; brother, Peter (Christal) Demydowich; sister, Monica Demydowich; and a host of other family and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille and by his in-laws, Ruth and Gerald Whitford. Wayne requested no services be held.
