Walter "Mr. Joe" Kenneth Josephson

Walter Kenneth Mr. Joe Josephson age 82 of Rochester passed away May 16, 2012 at Regina Medical Center in Hastings, MN.He was born January 25, 1930 in St. Paul, MN to Karl & Minnie (Peterson) Josephson.He graduated from Harding High School. He served in the US Air Force.He retired from Harmon Glass after 30 years of employment.He enjoyed traveling, sports, drawing and art, music, and his love for children.He and his wife operated a licensed day care since 1991.He married Bette (Gunderson) Albertson on May 3, 1987 and she survives.Also surviving are his stepchildren: Donna Brogan (Michael)of LaCrosse, WI, Joe Albertson (Jody) of Garner, IA, Todd Albertson (Dawn) of Kansas City, Mo, and Gail Fisher (Jim) of Prarie Village, KS, nine stepgrandchildren and six step great grandchildren.His siblings, Charles Josephson (Barbara) of St Paul, Earl Josephson (Karen), Lloyd Josephson (Pat) both of Woodbury, Mary Baker (David) of Shokopee, Martha Baker (John) of Frederic, WI, and David Josephson (Claudia) of Stillwater, and many nieces and nephews.A public visitation will be held 4-7 PM Friday, May 18, 2012 at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home and a Private Family Service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church.Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to the Organ Fund at Christ United Methodist Church or the Rochester Public Library Childrens Section.
