Vorn Ngean

Vorn Ngean, 89, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Maplewood Care Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. Vorn was born November 9, 1927 in Battambong, Cambodia. After the war, all the family relocated to the United States for a new life. Vorn and her family were always grateful for their opportunity and a better life. She is survived by her 5 children, Sal (Leang Ngo) Nhean, Savy (Luc Chin) Nhean, Phala (Bunna Chhav) Nhean, Samon (Tha Nuon) Nhean, Leang Ngor; grandchildren, Kimleng Nhean, Vechet, Adeline, Lundi and Marilyne Chin, Michael Chau, Alexis Chau, Phally and Lannie Nhean, Tapy and Tawea Noun and Tapkannia Koeun; great-granddaughter, Meline and great-grandson, Colin. Vorn was preceded in death by her husband, San Ngor; 1 brother and 1 sister. Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 PM Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Rochester Buddhist Temple, 4462 29th St. SE, Rochester, MN 55904. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester.
