Virgil Briske

Virgil Henry Briske, 82, of Rochester, MN, passed away on December 17, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Hospital Methodist Campus in Rochester, MN. Virgil was born on May 8, 1941 in Elgin, MN to Ralph and Bertha Briske. He grew up in the Dover/Eyota area and attended school in St. Charles, MN. He married Luanne Helen Folkert on October 10, 1958. Virgil worked at Universal Ford, Rochester, MN, in the Parts Department for 46 years. Virgil enjoyed fishing, yardwork, going for rides in the country, eating out with Luanne, trips to Branson, and caring for his dogs.

Virgil is survived by his wife Luanne; his daughter, Pam Briske of Fountain Hills, AZ; brothers Glen Briske (Lea Franta) of Rochester, MN; LeRoy (Laurel) Briske of Rosemount, MN; and Larry (Sue) Briske of Rochester, MN along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Bertha Briske; brother, Albert Briske; and sister, Shirley Wente.

A memorial service to celebrate Virgil's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 869 7th Ave SE, Rochester, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester, MN.
