Funeral services for Victor L. Scott, 84, of Rochester will be at11 am on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Autumn Ridge Church with Reverend C. John Steer and Reverend James Barnhart co- officiating.Burial will be at Old Concord Cemetery just east of West Concord.Visitation will be from 5 - 8 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also1 hour prior to the funeral at the church. Victor Lloyd Scott was born on March 29, 1929 in West Concord, MN to Dewey and Alice (Miller) Scott.He died on January 12, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Victor graduated from West Concord Schools and the Minneapolis School of Business.He served in the United States Army from 1948-1952.Victor married Phyllis (Cady) on August 3, 1948. Victor was a livestock buyer for Hormel for 16 years and a Real Estate Broker/Owner for his firm Scott Realty for 25 years.He also worked as an investment and business entrepreneur owning the Crossroads Shopping Center for 40 years with his partner Robert Meek.He was a member of Autumn Ridge Church and a long-standing member of Camp Victory Board of Directors as well as various community organizations.His first love was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, wife (Phyllis), family and friends.Many non-profit ministries, churches, and individuals were blessed by his loving benevolence. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; 2 sons, Randy (Marlene) Scott and Ricky (Melissa) Scott, both of Rochester; 1 daughter, Peggy (Allan) Mitchell of Bourbonnais, IL; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Viola Fedder.He was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Alice Scott; and one sister.
