Vernon L. Kolbe

ROCHESTER, MINN:Vernon L. Kolbe, 96, died peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Golden Living Center East. Vernon Linden Kolbe was born February 13, 1919 to Wesley and Theressa (Sibley) Kolbe on the family farm in rural Chatfield, MN. He lived and worked in the Rochester area for most of his life. Vernon worked at Rochester Methodist Hospital and enjoyed wood working, music; and he played the violin, and traveling. He was a kind and generous man to his friends and family. Vernon is survived by his three siblings, Gladys Mulholland, Rochester, MN, Max Kolbe, Delano, MN and Margie Jylland, Westmont, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bernice Kuehn. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Rochester, MN.
