Toni Rae Kalar

ROCHESTER, MINN:Toni Rae Kalar, 71, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Saint Marys Hospital. Toni Rae Tessier was born August 14, 1941 to Henry and Hilda (Batdorf) Tessier in International Falls, MN. She graduated from International Falls, MN High School. Toni Rae married Robert Kalar on August 6, 1960 in International Falls, MN and was later divorced. After living for nine years in California, she moved to Rochester. She coached volleyball and operated a floral business. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Toni Rae is survived by her two sons, Kent (Kristina) Kalar, Austin, TX and Scott (Gina) Kalar, Austin, TX; her six grandchildren, Lucy, Rita, Adam, Ian, Elexis, and Logan; her two brothers, Lee (Janice) Tessier, Ely, MN, and Eugen (Glenda) Tessier, White Bear Lake, MN; and her two sisters, Romelle Scott of Idaho and Cheri Ann Tessier, International Falls, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, Rochester, MN with the Reverend Dwight LaPine officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church. There will be a private family burial. Memorials are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church.
