Todd Lyle Braun

BRAUN Todd Lyle Braun, age 43 of Kasson, MN, died April 14, 2013. Todd was born June 9, 1969 in Rochester, MN to Sheryl (Ellinghuysen, Braun) Lotz and the late Lyle Braun. He moved to LaCrescent, MN, with his family and graduated from LaCrescent High School in 1988. He was employed by the City of Rochester Park and Rec as a tree trimmer, certified arborist, a job Todd was passionate about. Todd married Yvonne (Hemann, Sipple) on June 1, 1996, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Lewiston, MN. They had four children, Jeffrey Sipple, Benjamin, Nathan and Michael. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and a great friend to many. Todd loved the outdoors, hunting and camping. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was a master storyteller. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle, and honest man, who was loved by many. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; his children, Jeffrey (Rochester), Benjamin, Nathan, and Michael;mother, Sheryl (Art) Lotz of Wabasha, MN; sisters, Wendy (Jerry) Norman of South St. Paul, Kimberly Braun of LaCrescent, MN and Meridee (Bryan) Brown of Lewiston, MN; mother-in-law, Irene Hemann of Stacyville, IA; sisters-in-law, Viv (Bart Jr.) McDonough of Wabasha, MN, Sue (Jack) VanLaere of Rockford, IA, Colette (Steve) Koebrick of Charles City, IA, Maureen (Duane) Wegner of Eyota, MN, Delores (Kevin) Koster of St. Ansgar, IA, Kathy (Tim) Bruggeman of Toeterville, IA; brothers-in-law, Steve Hemann of Melrose, IA, Harvey (Diane) Hemann and Norbert (Marybeth) Hemann all of Stacyville, IA, Len (Carol) Hemann of Linden, IA, Galen (Audrey) Hemann of Rose Creek, MN, Nick Hemann of Kasson, MN, Andrew (Patty) Hemann of Stacyville, IA; 41 nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Todd was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Braun; father-in-law, Herbert Hemann; brother-in-law, Adrian Hemann; grandparents, Nick and Mabel Braun, Alvin and Betty Ellinghuysen and uncle Eldie Tymesen. Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00pm Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. A celebration of his life will be held 2:00pm Friday, April 19, 2013 at Community Celebration Church 27401 County Highway 34, Kasson, MN. The family will also receive friends at the church from 1:00pm Friday until time of service.
