Thrine Minerva Bourdon

ROCHESTER, MINN:Thrine M. Bourdon, 89, died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at The Homestead of Rochester. Thrine Minerva Haga was born June 10, 1926 to Lars and Irene (Lanager) Haga in Plummer, Minnesota. She graduated from Plummer high school and the University of Minnesota. She worked as a secretary and typist at the University of Minnesota. On September 10, 1948, she married George Bourdon in Red Lake Falls, MN.Thrine was an excellent sewer, knitter, and crocheter.She and George enjoyed refinishing antiques and traveling, camping in the RV. Thrine is survived by her husband, George; and her son, Gary (Starr) Bourdon of Elk River, MN; her grandchildren, Nicole and Cody (Kymberli) Bourdon and two great grandchildren, Tera and Emmett.She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday, September 26th at the funeral home.Interment will be at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery Columbarium in Minneapolis, Minnesota
