Thor Callan Starch

A Memorial Service for Thor C. Starch, 38, of Mantorville, Minnesota will be at 11:00am on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minnesota.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Thor Callan Starch graciously passed into his heavenly home on October 15, 2011 at the University of Madison Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.He was born on January 27, 1973 in Boulder, Colorado to Karl and Marne (Lied) Starch.Thor graduated from High School in Boulder and attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, majoring in civil engineering.On August 10, 1996, Thor married Jodie Kahn in Fort Collins.The couple made their home in Fort Collins and moved to Rochester in 1997 and later moved to Mantorville in 2000.Thor worked for Adamson Motors for ten years and at NAPA in Kasson for twelve years.Thor enjoyed Mopars, Hot Wheels, photography, scrapbooking,a wide variety of music, including organ music, trucks and putting together model cars. Thor is survived by his wife, Jodie of Mantorville, Minnesota; his father, Karl and step-mother, Barbara of Denver, Colorado; his brother, Chris Starch of Fort Collins, Colorado; his sister, Osa of Denver, Colorado and canine companions, Grizzly, Cadet, Drover and Edel.He was preceded in death by his mother, Marne, paternal grandparents, Elmer and Karen Starch; maternal grandparents, Harriet and Urna Lied; three uncles, Marshall, Ralph and Bill; one aunt, Eleda and one cousin, Mark. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Mount Moriah Lutheran Organ Maintenance Fund.
