Thomas W. Keckhafer

Thomas W. Keckhafer, 67, of Santee, CA (formerly of Rochester) died on April 30, 2017, at Sharp Grossmount Hospital in La Mesa, CA. He was born on October 25, 1949, in Rochester to Henry and Betty (Peck) Keckhafer. Thomas graduated from Mayo High School in 1969. He graduated from the Austin Area Vocational and Technical School as a machinist. On May 18, 1972, he entered the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on November 19, 1980. Thomas moved to California and worked as a machinist for an Aerospace Company. He enjoyed boating, fishing, watching NASCAR and hockey. Survivors include four brothers and one sister, John Keckhafer of Rochester, James (Laurrine) Keckhafer of Eyota, Marie (Ray) Siewert of Rochester, Gerald (Kristine) Keckhafer of Rochester and Dennis (Joan) Keckhafer of Grand Rapids, MN; five nieces, three nephews, six great nieces, two great nephews, two great-great nieces and one great-great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ron. Visitation will be Sunday, May 7, 2017, from 2:00 5:00pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.
