Thomas W. Siggelkow, age 52, passed away Sunday, July 29, 218 at his home in Rochester after a two-year battle with ALS. Tom was born in Marquette, Michigan on August 25, 1965 to William and Karin (Hoppe) Siggelkow. He moved to Rochester in 1970 with his family and attended Rochester schools. Tom was a long time worker at Ability Building Center and a resident of REM Oxford. He was active in Community Education classes, church, and his favorite; going out to eat. Over the years, Tom worked at Burger King, RCC, Pemstar and Ability Enterprises. Tom is survived by his father William, step-mother Connie Hosey, brother Mark (Sara) Siggelkow and sister Amy (Mark) Duffing, aunt Sigrid Weschka and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Karin, grandparents and uncle. The memorial service for Tom will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 5500 25th Ave. NW, Rochester. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Tom's family expresses sincere thanks to the staff at REM Oxford for the years of care they provided. They were his "Family" too.
