Thomas Scott Adams

Tom Adams, 50, of Riceville, IApassed away in his home on Wednesday September 17, 2014, after a six month battle with cancer. Tom was born on November 24, 1963, in Rochester, MN. He grew up in Mazeppa, graduating from Mazeppa High School in 1983. Following graduation, he enrolled in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed jobs where he was able to fix and build things. In his spare time, he loved listening to music, playing his drums, rock hunting, boating and 4-wheeling. Tom leaves behind his beloved daughter, Brianna Adams (age 15), his parents John & Donna Adams, Todd (brother), Tracy (sister) & Randy Mills (brother-in-law) and his nephews Travis & Nathan Mills to cherish his memory. Tom was extremely blessed to have been surrounded by many loving and caring family members and friends. The constant support and prayers from all of his loved ones truly helped lift his spirits during his cancer battle. We will miss him terribly but will cherish the beautiful memories that we have shared with him. The funeral service for Thomas (Tom) Scott Adams will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Zumbro Community Church in Zumbro Falls, MN, with Pastor Dave Mohler officiating. The burial will take place at Dale Pleasant Prairie Cemetery in Zumbro Falls, MN (2 miles from the church). Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday morning. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials for his daughter who also lost her mother last year to cancer. Checks can be made to John and/or Donna Adams who will be taking care of Brianna.
