Thomas Gerald Amos

Thomas Gerald Amos age 46 of Rochester passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2012.Born May 5, 1965 in Rochester the son of Gerald Ike and Joanne M. (Schwemmer) Amos.Tom spent several years in the construction industry working as an estimator/project manager.He has worked the past three years with Rochester Community and Technical College.He enjoyed traveling, fishing, motorcycling, and the time spent at the cabin boating with family and friends.He was involved with his neighborhood friends and always enjoyed the get togethers and playing those mind teasing board games. He was active in his children's sporting events and assisted his daughter's soccer team as manager for the past couple years.He enjoyed archery with his son they shared many hours of practice.He enjoyed collecting and those early morning shopping trips to be the first to get a new hot wheel. He and Jessica Hughes were married April 22, 1995 in Rochester and she survives.Also surviving are his children: Courtney (15) and Tyler (11), his mother: Joanne Amos of Rochester, and his brother, Jon Amos (Stephanie) of Elgin and his sister, Theresa Whitney (Jeremy) of Montrose, MN.He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday February 25, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel with the Rev.
