Theodore Henry Conger, Jr. Ted, 82, of Rochester, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at St. Marys Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. Ted was born May 14, 1933 in Keshena, WI to Theodore and Julia (Wishcobey) Conger, Sr. He was a graduate of Shawano High School. Ted was a veteran of the US Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean War. On October 19, 1974, he married Mary Davenport. Ted was a member of the Rochester V.F.W., the Stewartville American Legion and a member of the Korean Club. He was a professional musician, known as Boogie and his wonderful talent on the piano. Ted was an avid bowler and held many of the city records. He attended Pax Christi Catholic Church. Ted was a humble, kind and caring man with a great sense of humor. Ted is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary Conger; children, Marcia Jackson of Scottsdale, AZ., Jeffrey Nelson of Chatfield, MN., Sara Crowson of Trempealeau, WI., Eric (Jannah) Conger of Grand Meadow, MN; 6 grandchildren, Hailey Conger, Danielle and Anthony Crowson, Jeremy Costa, Damara Gulec, Kindria Price and 12 great-grandchildren. Ted is also survived by his sisters, Ruby Reiter, Eva (Dick) Block, Yvonne Veronda, Marcia (Jim) Youngs, Opal (Larry) Dill, Elizabeth Rigatuso, Audrey Holochwost, Judith (Tony) Martinez; brothers, Bernard (Ruth) Conger, Larry Conger and numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 1 sister. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Friday, June 19, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW., Rochester. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM until the time of the service. Father Joseph Fogal will be officiating with inurnment at Preston Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
