Terry M. Ellerman, age 67, of Rochester, Minnesota died Saturday, December 2, 2017 at his home. Terry was born in Waseca on May 26, 1950 to Ronald and Anita (Larson) Ellerman. The family later moved to Rochester and Terry graduated from John Marshall High School in 1968. After graduation he entered the US Navy, serving aboard the USS Higbee until being honorably discharged in 1973. Later in life he worked at several Rochester hotels and Home Depot. Terry was an active member of VFW post 1215 in Rochester, serving on their Honor Guard. He was also active in veterans causes, assisting in fundraising for memorials and a flagpole at Oakwood East cemetery. After surviving a heart attack thanks to an AED, he was active in promoting installation of these devices. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He is survived by his son, Todd (and Rachel) Ellerman of Rochester; sister, Cindy (and Marv) Sawyer; nephew, Scott Sawyer; and niece, Brooke (and Torsten) Arnold. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel. A Visitation will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service.
