Tammy M. Amoako, age 47, of Golden Valley, MN, died on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN, 55901, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. On Thursday, October 11, 2018, there will also be a service at 7:00 p.m. at Sunrise United Methodist Church, 7687 Long Lake Road, Mounds View, MN, 55112 with a visitation one hour prior to the service. There will be a private family burial in the Riverside Cemetery - Salem Corners, Minnesota. Tammy Marie Carstensen was born on September 16, 1971, in Rochester, MN, to Lyle and Ruth (Lieber) Carstensen. She graduated from Byron High School in 1990, the Association Free Lutheran Bible School in 1992, Crown College for elementary education in 1994 and Concordia University in St. Paul where she received her masters in organizational management emphasis in Training and Development. She married, had three children and later divorced. Tammy worked in the health insurance industry working for various insurance companies in the Twin Cities. Tammy found the love of her life, Brian and especially loved spending time with her children. She is survived by her children, MacKenzie, Elsa and Dionna; her parents, Lyle and Ruth Carstensen, siblings, Terry (Brenda) Carstensen and Teresa Carstensen; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Paul) Myers. Katherine Carstensen, Joshua Carstensen and Zachary Carstensen; uncle and aunt, Clayton and Darlene Carstensen; and her significant other, Brian Goodwin.
