Susan L. Bartol

Susan Lynn (Johnson) Bartol, 63, was placed in the arms of her gentle and compassionate God in the early morning hours of February 6, 2014. She ascended through the azure skies of a perfect winter morning, past billowy white clouds to the gates of Heaven. Any amount of years is too long to compete with the menace that is cancer, but she did go in a manner that inspired others and honored God. Susan understood and accepted how deeply loved and understood she was in Christ, and she is now a citizen of a far better world. Susan was born October 15, 1950 in Rochester to Gordon and Joan (Harnan) Johnson. She was a graduate of Mayo High School. She worked as a sales analyst for 3M for over 20 years. She enjoyed antiquing, crafts, traveling and spending time with her puppy. Susan was a loving mother and sister and will be greatly missed. Susan is survived by her son, Joseph Cook of Rochester; brother, Phil Johnson of Rochester; sisters, Kim Johnson of White Bear Lake, Lori Monson of Minneapolis, and Kathi Hanson of Maple Grove; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Joan. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester.
