Stephen S. Disbrow, age 55, of Rochester, died on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. He was born on June 23, 1959, in Amarillo, TX, to Thomas and Peggy (Childers) Disbrow. Stephen graduated from St. Pius High School in Piscataway, NJ in 1978 and graduated from Kean University in 1983. On September 18, 1988, he married Laura Barker in Piscataway, NJ. They shared the joy of having three children. Stephen worked for AT as a computer programmer. His division was outsourced to IBM in 2003, and he continued to work there and in 2005, Stephen transferred locations and moved to Rochester, MN where he worked as a senior applications developer. He worked with many people within the company and also worldwide. Stephen was a member of PAX Christi Catholic Church in Rochester and was the president of the board of SEMCIL. He loved his dogs, computers and electronic gadgets, and was known for being tech savvy. His biggest love of all was spending time with his family at the Jersey Shore. Stephen is surivived by his wife, Laura Disbrow; sons, Matthew (Ashley) Disbrow and Shawn Disbrow; daughter, Dana Disbrow, all of Rochester; mother, Peggy Jansen of Amarillo, TX; siblings, Kathy (Victor) Loyd of Amarillo, TX, Haskell Dino Gray of Arlington, TX; Regina (Tony) Ciambrone of Hillsborough, NJ; extended family including his in-laws; aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews. Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Disbrow; both maternal and paternal grandparents. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014, at PAX Christi Catholic Church in Rochester, with Father Joseph Fogal presiding. A visitation will be from 2:00 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to SEMCIL.
