Shirley Turner, 87, of Rochester, MN passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at The Homestead of Rochester. Shirley Turner was born November 14, 1928 to Soren and Jenny (Hedegaard) Miller in Park Ridge, IL.Shirley graduated from Taft High School in Chicago, IL.Shirley attended Culver Stockton College in Canton, MO.She married William Turner on February 21, 1953.William and Shirley lived in Japan while William was in the service.The couple lived in Mount Prospect, IL before moving to Rochester in 2011 to be closer to their family.Shirley enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling, camping in Door County, square dancing, baking and cooking. Shirley is survived by her husband, William; daughter, Kim (Jim) Andrews of Wayzata, MN and their family, Kevin Andrews and his children, Haley and Lucas; Jennifer (Jerod) Weinman and their son, Gus and Carolyn(John) Hansen and their daughter, Kennedy.Also surviving is their son, David (Ann) Turner of Rochester and their family, Alexander Turner, Laura (Brett) Deibert and their daughter, Brynn and Kelly (Tyler) Maxwell; and Shirleys cousin, Harriet Juul Larsen of Odense, Denmark. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Bethel Lutheran Church with the Reverend Dr. Norman Wahl officiating.Visitation will take place from 5:00 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
