Shirley Mae (Cleveland) Lewis, 90, of Rochester, MN (formerly of Austin and Park, Rapids, Minnesota) passed away on October 28, 2019 in Rochester, Minnesota Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home, with lunch immediately following the service. Interment will follow at Grand View Cemetery, Austin, Minnesota. Arrangements are by Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home. Shirley was born in Antigo, Wisconsin to Loal and Dora (Reiland) Cleveland on July 19th, 1929. She married Robert W Lewis on November 10, 1951 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Mom was an awesome cook and baker. Her fried chicken and chocolate cake was always a favorite contribution to Bob's hunting trips. She was an excellent seamstress creating many Halloween costumes, dance costumes and beautiful formal dresses for her daughters. She loved gardening, reading, playing guitar, fishing and shopping. Her passion in life was her artwork in both watercolor and pastel medias, for which she was recognized at local art fairs in Rochester and Park Rapids, Minnesota. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was always delighted to see them. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Loal Cleveland and Dora (nee Reiland) Cleveland; husband Robert W. Lewis; brothers Milton (Edna Rice) Cleveland; James (Edna Wolfe) Cleveland; Gordon (Irene) Cleveland; Clayton Cleveland; Andrew (Christina) Cleveland; Willard (Evelyn) Cleveland; sisters Gloria (Daniel) Mueller; Zadel (Ray) Remer and son-in-law Gaylord Thom. Shirley is survived by daughters: Judy (Robert) Olson of Rochester, Minnesota; Gayle Thom of Rogers, Minnesota; Brenda Lewis of Mankato, Minnesota; Renee (Craig) Larson of Austin, Minnesota; Christine (Timothy) Gaffron of Maple Grove, Minnesota; grandchildren: Julie (David) Osterberg, Tracy (Greg) Patterson, Alana (Jason) Stinehart, Valerie Lewis, Erik Gaffron and Lauren Gaffron; and great grandchildren: Lydia, Abigail, Joshua, Noah, Aiden, Wyatt, Zander and Axle.
