Shirley Elaine Gorman

Shirley Elaine Gorman, 65, of Rochester, died July 27, 2010 at Golden Living Center West in Rochester. Shirley was born November 23, 1944 in Highland Park, Michigan to Harold and Lempi (Peterson) Johnson. She grew up and attended schools in the Houghton, Michigan area. She married Michael Gorman, the couple later divorced. In the mid 1960s the couple moved to Rochester. Shirley worked as a waitress and cosmetologist in the area. She enjoyed cooking, laughter, spending time with family and friend; She cherished the memories and time spent with her grandchildren. Shirley is survived by three children: Connie (Dean) Wille of Jacksonville, Florida, Brian (Carol) Gorman of Rochester, & Jeff (Julie) Gorman of Rochester. One brother Richard Johnson of Ferndale, Michigan. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Donald Peterson, and one sister, Agnes Ristilia. A visitation and viewing will be from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday July 30th at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Following the visitation a private family service will take place.
