Sherry Johnson

Sherry Ann Johnson, age 71, of Pine Island, MN, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 4, 1953, Sherry was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her loving husband, Greg, whom she married on June 8, 1974, and her children, Angela Weatherford, Nicki Owen (Joel), and Josh Johnson. Sherry was blessed with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She shared a special bond with her granddaughter Madi and grandson Max. She enjoyed cheering them on at every sporting event and supporting them through every stage of their lives.

Sherry is also survived by her siblings, Rick Bell (Judy), Linda Bell (Shelly), Deb Atherton (Ed), Teri Kautz (Randy), her brother in-law Jeff Johnson (Phyllis), sister in-law Karen Hofschulte (Scott), brother in-law Jon, and many nieces and nephews.

A proud graduate of Pine Island High School, Sherry carried the values of hard work and kindness throughout her life. She loved her dog Bella, enjoyed playing e-tabs, and cherished ranger rides with Greg. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.

Sherry was met in heaven by her parents, Leigh and Shirley Bell, her brothers Mike and Gregg Bell, and her best friend Marcia Stucky. She was incredibly proud of her family and will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at the Pine Island American Legion on Friday November 8th from 4-8:00pm with a time of remembrance at 5:30.
