Sharron Smith

SMITH Sharron Lynne Smith, 79, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna. Sharron was born October 15, 1937 in Minneapolis to Henry and Josephine (Ross) Miller. She was a graduate of Robinsdale High School. In 1957, Sharron married Ralph Smith and they later divorced. Sharron worked many years as a customer service representative at Bell Telephone Company in Minneapolis, Holiday Inn Downtown Rochester and then retiring from Peoples Gas. Sharron was a generous woman, always giving help to others. She never said no to anyone in need of her help. She was a caregiver to many. She was a loyal member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester. Sharron is survived by her children, Jodi Carr of California, Gregg (Melanie) Smith of Long Lake, MN, Carri Moyer of Wisconsin, Shelly Paulson of Rochester; grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda) Smith, Jordan Smith, Nikki Smith, Nick (Jen) Moyer, Ben Moyer, Cassandra (Matt) Williams, Dustin Paulson, Mackenzie Paulson; great-grandchildren, Zach and Logan Moyer, Elly Paulson, Harrison and Lincoln Williams, Avery and Louis Smith; sister, Sandra (Tom) Bisig of Rochester; nephew, Ryan Gould; nieces, Teresa Macaraeg and Marian Reich and Sharrons special friend, Bob Sokol of Rochester. Sharron was preceded in death by her brother, Henry and her parents. A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, April 7, 2017 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 869 7th Ave. SE, Rochester. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00PM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. Adam Koglin will be officiating with interment at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homestead Hospice House, 2350 NW 26th St. Owatonna, MN 55060.
