Sharon Marie (Louks) Young, age 53, of Rochester passed away January 17, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital of complications with the flu. Sharon was born to Julie (Bergerson) and Roger "Butch" Louks on December 27, 1964 at the Owatonna Hospital. Sharon graduated in 1983 from Hayfield High School. Sharon loved her husband Jon Michael, her children, little dog Tank, all of her grandbabies, music, and all of the kids she has worked with over the years. Children brought her such joy. Her last job being a paraprofessional at Rochester Beacon Academy. Working with special needs children was her passion her entire life. Sharon also enjoyed music, shopping, adventures, and trips around Minnesota. She loved a good nap but her most favorite being her joy of Christmas that was spread across her community. She was always involved in outreach programs and donations needed. She was always the first one to lend a helping hand to anyone even a complete stranger. Sharon leaving us will leave a large hole in many hearts as she touched many lives. Sharon leaves her husband, Jon Michael Young of Rochester; her children, Kelsie (McCray) Swain (Keith) of Buckeye AZ, Tyler McCray (Mary) of Rochester, Sarah Theide of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Keyton, Keelie, Kamren Swain, and Addie McCray; step grandchildren, Robbie and Braiden; parents, Julie (Mike) Enright of Hayfield, and Roger "Butch" Louks of Park Rapids; grandmother, Genelle Bergerson and uncle, John Bergerson both of Hayfield; aunt, Patti (Mike) Chilson of Mantorville. She is also survived by Jon's mother, Patricia VanDorn, brother-in-law, Timm (Julie) Young, and sister-in-law, Kelly Kristine (Eirn) Young. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Pat Bergerson, paternal grandparents, Virgil and Florence Louks, uncles, Craig and Robert Bergerson, previous stepdad, Marvin Klein, and dear previous parents-in-law, Art and Marilyn McCray as well as grandmother-in-law, Sally VanDorn. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be held 12:00PM Monday, January 22, 2018 at Evangel United Methodist Church 2645 N. Broadway Avenue, Rochester. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Hayfield.
