Sharon Krahn

Sharon Krahn, age 71, of Rochester, passed away after her long battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester with Rev. Joel Haak officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will be in Little Valley Cemetery, in rural Dover, MN. Sharon Mae Bedtke was born on July 20, 1944, in rural Dover Township, Olmsted County, to Robert and Theodosia (Verdick) Bedtke. She worked at Crenlo in Rochester and Camera Arts in Lewiston until her retirement. Sharon was united in marriage to Loren Butch Krahn and they were later divorced. Sharon is survived by her daughters, Lou Ann (Ron) Piens and Hydee Overend both of Rochester; granddaughter, Jennifer (Ryann) Collins; grandsons, Seth (Rachael) Overend and Lucas (Kirsten) Overend; great-grandson, Sawyer Overend; sisters, Margaret Weins of Waseca, Mary Meisch of Altura and Yvonne (Charles) Finn of Mantorville; brothers, Robert (Sara) of St. Charles, John (Carol) Bedtke and James Bedtke both of Dover; longtime friend, Kay Mogensen of Rochester; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, William Weins and Charles Meisch; and sister-in-law, Jan Bedtke.
