ROCHESTER -Selma E. Koepsell, 97, died on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Golden East Living Center in Rochester. Selma was born in Canova, SD on April 13, 1914 to Herman and Sarah (Koepsell) Wulff.She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Canova.Selma married Ewald Koepsell on September 1, 1940.After moving to Rochester, she was a volunteer at Rochester State Hospital.She was an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester and was a member of the Women of Trinity and Bible Study groups.Selma also taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. Selma is survived by a son, Eugene (Julia) Koepsell, of Rochester; a daughter, Judy (Frank) Dally, of Ankeny, IA; four grandchildren, Sara Koepsell, of Rochester, Erik Koepsell, of Buford, GA, Michael (Melissa) Dally, of Des Moines, IA, and Jennifer (Kevin) Navin, of Cedar Rapids, IA; and seven great grandchildren. Selma is preceded in death by her husband, Ewald; six brothers; six sisters; and a son, Jim. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 25, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 222 6th Ave. SW.Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at church. Interment will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church.
