Scott Allen Borland

Scott Allen Borland passed away June 11, 2024, at St Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, after a brief illness. Scott was born in Albert Lea, MN, on August 27, 1957, to T. Dean Borland and Dolores (Dode) Borland. Scott graduated from John Marshall High School in 1976. Scott passed away peacefully after living his life "his" way.

Scott lived most of his life in Grand Marais, MN, and Elba, MN. He was known as "The Cabin Guy." Scott loved animals, especially his dogs Shane and August, and special friend Kim's dog Polly.

Scott loved the outdoors; riding his snowmobile, motorcycle, 4X4s, and electric bikes.

He is survived by his siblings: brother Dale Borland of Albert Lea, sister Marsha Kranebell (Mark Liedner) of Wabasha, sister Lo Jean Borland of Rochester; nephew Chad (Nikki) Kranebell, great nephew Jackson and great niece Audrey, his beloved friend Kim Distad and Kim's granddaughter Eli who were very special to Scott.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Dode Borland and his brother-in-law James Kranebell.

Scott will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and most of all by his best friend Kim.
