Sara Marie Strouth-Fogg, 34, of Rochester, passed away at home unexpectedly due to complications from a brief illness on Monday, March 13, 2017. Sara was born March 19, 1982 in Willmar, MN to James and Karen (Berdan) Strouth. She was raised in Kandiyohi, MN and was a graduate of Central Minnesota Christian School in Prinsburg, MN. Sara moved to Rochester in February of 2002. On May 14, 2005, Sara married Brandon Fogg at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Rochester. Sara worked as a personal banker at Home Federal before turning to her love of children and starting her own in home daycare. For 10 years, she shared her love with many children as a daycare mom. Sara also volunteered at school and helped in the church nursery. Family was the most important thing to Sara and some of her fondest memories were spending time at the family cabin near Spicer, MN. Sara and Brandon loved taking their children to many water parks and their recent trip to Walt Disney World. She was an upbeat, honest, loving and empathic young woman. Sara always put others before herself and strived to make sure everyone was happy and safe. She enjoyed amateur photography and loved making memories with her family and friends. Sara is survived by her loving husband, Brandon; children, Tyler James and Alyssa Marie; parents, Jim and Karen Strouth; brother, Ryan (Angela) Strouth; grandmother, Arlene Berdan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dana and Pat Fogg and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Sara was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Arnold Berdan, her paternal grandparents, Leo and Fern Strouth and her cousin, Kayla Berdan. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Rochester Covenant Church, 4950 31st Ave. NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 12:30PM until the time of the service. Pastor Joel Johnson will be officiating with interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
