Sandra (Sandi) K. Winestorfer of Rochester MN, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at her home with her beloved family by her side, just as she wanted. Sandi was born August 25, 1947 to the late Magdalen Butlin and Peter Butlin. She grew up in Winona with her Mother and five sisters, as well as many other family members. Sandi had a very special relationship with each and every one of her loving sisters. In March of 1966, she met the love of her life, James Winestorfer, by August of 1966 they were engaged. The following year on April 8th 1967, they were married.Sandi and Jim started a family, after their first born, Wendy. They moved to Rochester three years later they and had their son, Bart. Sandi's life was dedicated to her husband and children, with whom she loved with all her heart. Sandi was a housewife, but eventually did daycare in their home too. She was most certainly one of a kind daycare provider and was loved by them all. Sandi, Jim and their children spent many years on the river until their children were grown, something they loved to do as a family. They also spent a lot of time with Sandi's sisters and their families, they were all very close. Sandi had many hobbies; she loved the outdoors, camping, crafts, knitting, drawing, and much more. Her most cherished hobbies, was her beautiful back yard, there was not one blade of grass left, she turned it into a beautiful garden, full of plants, flowers, paths and a pond. She would meticulously take great care of it, this was her get away. Sandi, Jim and many others would spend hours on their deck to enjoy the peace and beauty. There was another love that came into her life besides her husband and children, it was her Granddaughter Taylyr, Sandi loved her dearly. Grandma "guy" was a second mother to her. She could not have been more proud then to have her Taylyr. Taylyr was a big part of her life. Sandi will be greatly missed, not only by her loving family, but by all the lives she touched. Sandi was there for anyone when needed. There are no words to truly say, how much we love and will miss her. Forever and always, to the Heavens and back, til the end of time.
