Sandra M. Mitchell

ROCHESTER- Sandra M. Mitchell, 58, of Rochester, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital. Sandra was born September 29, 1954 in Rochester to Norman and Betty (Flood) Grant. She was a 1972 graduate of John Marshall High School. On July 3, 1978 in Sioux Falls, SD, Sandra married Henry Mitchell. She enjoyed gardening, growing roses and sitting outside enjoying nature. Sandra loved her grandchildren, collecting cats, jewelery, her pickup truck and fishing with her granddaughter, Victoria. She loved being a mom and was very proud of her family, especially her sons, John and Mark and her grandchildren, Victoria and Hunter. Sandra is survived by her sons, John (Kristia) Mitchell, Mark Mitchell both of Rochester; grandchildren, Victoria and Hunter; sisters, Cheryl Grant of Rochester, and Deborah (Gerald) Mohs of Rochester; numerous nieces and nephews; dog, Sir Ernest Hollywood and cats, Stormin Norman, George and D.C. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry; parents, Norman and Betty Grant; 3 brothers, Roger, Norman Jr. and Gerald and by her other children, 6 cats and 2 dogs. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, October 26, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery.
