ROCHESTER, MINN:Sandra J. Kemp, 68, died on Monday, August 19, 2013 at North Memorial Hospital, Robbinsdale, MN. Sandra Jean Jones was born on July 16, 1945 to Henry H. and Margaret Jones in Mobile, AL. Sandra was a homemaker and active member of her church and community who enjoyed making memories with family and friends.Alongside her husband, she participated in PTA/PTSA , Girl Scout Troop 285, NAACP, and SEMAAA. It wasnt a secret that she loved attending Bible study with her Anna Circle (WELCA) sisters. She also enjoyed interior decorating, fashion designing, hosting social events, card-making, letter writing, learning about animals, and the performing arts. She was most famous for her southern hospitality charm, humor, wisdom, wit, and singing voice which was evident in her live life to the fullest attitude. Family and friends always knew they were welcomed in her home for a time of fun, fellowship, and a taste of her delicious mouth-watering southern home style cooking and baking. Her faith and walk with God was very important to her, and she found heart felt joy in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who listened. Sandra is survived by her children, Natacha D. Kemp, Rochester MN, H. Marcel Kemp, Rochester, MN and a foster daughter, Shannon (Curt) Brehmer, Hillsboro, OR; a brother Henry H. (Ola) Jones Jr., Mobile, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry Kemp Jr; a brother William Jones; four sisters, Carolyn Jones, Joann Jones, Mary M. Otis-Moody, and Evangelist Janice Braxton; a niece Yolanda Braxton-Malone and a niece-in-law Erika Mozangue-Drayton. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
