Ryan Michael Colligan from Stewartville, MN, unexpectedly passed away on August 11th, 2024 in La Crosse, WI at the Gunderson Health Care Hospital at the age of 45. Ryan was born in Rochester, Minnesota on June 28th,1979. Ryan's parents are Kenneth Colligan and Nancy Allen.
Ryan was raised in Rochester, Minnesota and graduated from Mayo High school. Ryan was a supervisor for the Environmental Services Department at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's Campus for many years.
Ryan met Audrey and the courtship began. Audrey became Ryan's true soulmate and they were married on October 17th, 2003. Ryan and Audrey were respite and foster care parents and later adopted JaLynn, Alexander and Garrett. Ryan loved time with family and watching his children participate in sports and other activities. The family enjoyed camping, fishing and many other outdoor activities. Ryan became a Master Mason on January 11, 2011 and then on February 26, 2012 became a member of the Osman Shrine. He became a 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite on June 6, 2012. He was a very active member with many Club and Units, particularly the Rochester Merry Medics, Rochester Dragon Patrol & Rochester Cycle Patrol. Ryan was passionate about the Shrine events, trips and participating in parades. The Shrine family quickly found out that Ryan had a big heart and could never say no and would help whenever or wherever needed. Ryan and Audrey found out that the Shrine community is a very special family in itself. Tradition prevailing, Ryan was going to be installed as the 2025 Potentate of the Osman Shriners. The Shriners gave Ryan so much purpose and truly defined his legacy in supporting the giving and the helping of others. Ryan's last form of giving was to be an organ donor.
Ryan always looked forward to going north to the Colligan homestead and deer hunting with the Bagley, Mahnomen deer hunting crew. So many good times were shared in hunting camp and memories made. Ryan was driven to share the deer camp experience with his boys.
