ROCHESTER:Ruth J. Mann died peacefully at home in Charter House on October 24, 2015, at the age of 94. Ruth spent her career as the History of Medicine Librarian at Mayo Clinic, a perfect job for a book lover from a medical family.She was the only daughter of Dr. Frank C. Mann, who was hired by Drs. Will and Charlie Mayo to run the Institute of Experimental Medicine.Ruth loved good food, travel, jewelry, cats, and her family. R uths parents, Dr. Frank C. and Velma Mann, and her brothers, Dr. Frank D. Mann and Dr. Joseph D. Mann, predeceased her. A beloved aunt, she is survived by her two nieces, Laurene Mann of Richland, Michigan and Roberta Mann of Eugene, Oregon, and her two nephews, David Mann of Naples, Florida, and Robert Mann of Grand Rapids, Michigan, as well as three grand-nieces, four grand-nephews, and two great-grand-nephews.
