Rosie Franck

Rosie L. Franck, age 98, of Rochester, died on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Cottagewood Senior Living in Rochester. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Rosie Lillian Bluhm was born on March 30, 1920, in Rochester, to Robert and Mary (Zamzow) Bluhm. She attended Rochester Schools. On June 15, 1940, she married Marvin Franck in West Union, IA. Rosie worked at Montgomery Wards and JCPenney as a sales clerk for many years. She wintered in Texas for over 15 years where she worked on crafts including making porcelain dolls and quilts. Rosie enjoyed travelling, sewing, camping and fishing at Lake Mille Lac. She raised horses and was a member of the Rochester Saddle Club. Rosie is survived by her sons, Jim (Jackie) Franck of Rochester, Rich "Dick" (Jill) Franck of Butternut, WI and Don (Fran) Franck of Mountain View, MO; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Jean Franck of Mendota Heights. Rosie was preceded in death by her husband Marvin; son, Gerald; brothers, Harry, Bud, Lester and Rich; and sisters, Mildred and Margretta.
