Rose Edna Zdzinicki went Home to the Lord on May 26, 2022, at age 92. Rose was born to Steve and Stella Kobus on August 20, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois where she lived until she married. Rose met her husband Edward in 1957 and they were married on October 18, 1958. They raised their family in Dolton, Illinois. Over the 44 years Ed and Rose were together on this Earth, they loved to dance together, cook together, especially homemade pierogies and Polish sausage. Rose was known to be a good cook and she enjoyed sharing her recipes with others. The couple also enjoyed visiting friends and relatives. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother and wife, Rose enjoyed visiting the casino with friends, playing solitaire on her computer and she always loved talking with friends either in person or on the phone. Seven years ago, Rose moved to Rochester, MN where she lived at High Pointe Senior Community. During that time, Rose made many new friends and enjoyed sitting in the lobby of the residence talking to those friends. From an early age, Rose had an unwavering faith in God. She prayed the rosary every day and when she couldn't attend mass in person, she watched on television. Rose joins her husband, Edward, in Heaven, where they are sure to be dancing together enjoying a polka or two. Also preceding her in death is her son Edward who will surely be happy to see his mother once again. Rose is survived by her daughters Karen of Rochester and Laura of Chicago. Rose's grandchildren are Christine, Steven, Daniel, Brian, Michael, Lauren, Samantha, Henry and Ben. Rose also has four great-grandchildren. Rose will forever be remembered for being a kind, loving and fun woman. Rose was loved and will be missed by many but we all can rejoice in knowing she is at peace and resting as the good and faithful servant she was. A memorial mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 31 at 1:30 pm. The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
