Ronald E. Reuter

Ronald E. Reuter, 93, of Rochester, MN passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Mayo Clinic- Saint Marys Campus Ronald Eugene Reuter was born May 17, 1922 to John and Edna (Steen) Reuter in Harmony, MN.He graduated from Rochester High School and attended Rochester Junior College. Ronald served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1946 and was a proud recipient of a Purple Heart. Ronald was united in marriage to Myra Holliday on January 28, 1950 in Rochester.He was a plasterer for local contractors in Rochester for many years, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed golfing, was an avid sports fan and going for a ride. Ronald is survived by his wife of 66 years, Myra and their four children, Thomas (Linda) Reuter of Tuscan, AZ, Sara (Charles) Caverly of Red Wing, MN, Terri (Wesley) DeVries of Rochester and Timothy (Vicki) Reuter of Rochester; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes Chapel with Natacha Kemp officiating.Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens with Military honors provided by the Rochester American Legion Post #92.
