Ronald Alan Larson, 70, of Rochester, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at his home. Ron was born September 26, 1949 in Lake City, MN to Carl and Rosa (Engel) Larson. He was a graduate of Mayo High School. In 1970, Ron married Leah McGowan. Ron was a Captain of the fire department at The Rochester International Airport. He was a veteran, proudly serving in the U. S. Navy, where he received the National Defense Service Medal. Ron was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, a member of the Minnesota Fire Service board, EMT National, a past Masonic member and boy scout. Ron loved to go fishing, hunting, collect old match box cars, take trips to Florida for vacation and spending time with his grandson, Quinton. Ron is survived by his children, Todd Larson of St. Louis Park, MN, Kara (Brandon) Brady of Rochester; grandson, Quinton Brady and brother, David (Patty) Larson of Conger, MN. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Leah; parents, Carl and Rosa and by two brothers, Carl and Randall. A private graveside service will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
