KASSON, MINN:Ronald A. Radke, 71 known as G-Pa to many passed awayTuesday, September 24, 2013 following a courageous battle with Leukemia at Rochester Methodist Hospital. Ronald Arthur Radke was born on September 10, 1942 to Paul and Beulah (Newell) Radke in Chatfield, MN. He grew up in Byron, MN and later married Liela Schleusner on June 10, 1961. Ronald was a journeyman Plasterer before working the rest of his career in construction. He worked for many years for Shamrock Enterprise, Road Constructors and recently at the end of his career for Larry Severson Construction. He loved a hard days work. Ronald also enjoyed golfing, Busch light, a good Bloody Mary, trips to the casino, a good party, watching high school sports, especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He enjoyed remodeling homes, especially for his family and friends. Ronald is survived by his three daughters, Jody (Dave King) Radke, Kasson, MN, Wanda (Lance) Radke-Schafhausen, Rochester, MN and Chrissy (Brian) Harvey, Hayfield, MN; six grandchildren,Ronald R. Radke, Richard R. Bennett, Zachary D. Bennett, Ashley M. Bennett, Brandon R. Harvey, Brenna L. Harvey,one great granddaughter Arianna M. Garris; a brother Russell (Kathy) Radke, Rochester, MN, two sisters, Donna Hendrix, Genoa, MN and Gail (Dave) Hovey, Byron, MN, a sister-in-law Shari (Gene) Radke, Byron, MN, a brother-in-law Wayne Boysen, Hayfield, MN, a mother-in-law Letha Odman, Kasson, MN a brother-in-law Dale Butch Schleusner, Byron, MN He is also survived by his special friend Jim Huntoon. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Liela and five brothers. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church in Byron, MN. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church in Byron, MN and one hour before the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m on Friday, September 27, 2013 in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Rochester, MN. Following the burial, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Rochester Eagles Club.
