Rollin E. Miller, 90, of Rochester, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Madonna Towers. Rollin was born October 20, 1928 in Sac City, IA to Elwood and Wilma (Stokes) Miller. He was a graduate of Hayfield High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In 1954, Rollin married Joan Frederickson and they settled in Rochester. Rollin went on to work at IBM and retired after 33 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester and the V.F.W. Rollin enjoyed camping, photography, traveling to Hawaii, Alaska and Norway along with the 18 wonderfully warm winters in Texas with Joan. He also loved to restore furniture and antiques. Rollin was hardworking, dedicated, a great conversationalist, and a man with the kindest heart. Rollin is survived by his sons; Richard (Tess) Miller of New Holland, PA., Gregory (DeLonne) Miller of Burnsville, MN., Dwight (Ann) Miller of Rochester, and Paul Miller of Bloomington, MN; He was blessed with seven grandchildren; Christopher, Eric, Matthew, Chanel (Tanner) Vavra, Connor, Alexandra (Charles Mollenkamp) and Jackson; sisters, Jan (Dean) Jahnke and Nelda Greene. Rollin was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; infant daughter, Rebecca; brother, Delmar and his parents. A celebration of Rollin's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 222 6th Ave. SW., Rochester with Rev. Joel Haak officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. The inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield, MN.
