Roger Allen Heins

HEINS Roger Allen Heins, 86, of Rochester, MN passed away Tuesday, April 5th, 2016 at Mayo Clinic's St. Mary's Campus in Rochester. Roger was born in Rochester on August 4, 1929 to George and Esther (Sayles) Heins. Rogergraduated from Pine Island High School in 1948. Roger married Mary A. Rolling on June 6th, 1953 in Ivanhoe, MN.He was a farmer for most of his life. He was a member of the North Star Blades. He enjoyed square dancing, knife collecting and wood working but above all else he loved to spend time with his family. Roger is survived by his children, Joe (Arlynn) Heins, Rochester, MN, Bill (Jan Hagen) Heins, Lake City, MN, Pauline (Rick) Bale, West Concord, MN, Peggy (Mike Tighe) Clemens, Zumbro Falls, MN, Marty (Marie) Heins, Theilman, MN, Mike (Gena) Heins, Poway, CA and Kay (Sandi Hernandez) Heins, Palm Bay, FL.; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary; daughter Susann Heins; brother Willis Heins and by his parents. A funeral service will be held 10:30AM Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM until the time of the service on Saturday. Reverend Kitty Burbo will be officiating with interment at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
