Rodney Elias Clement passed away on November 3, 2018 at his home. He was born on January 27, 1941 in Rochester, MN to Glenn and Luella (Miller) Clement. Rodney graduated from John Marshall High School. He grew up on the farm and continued working on the farm until moving on to Construction work. In 1978 he started working at Mayo Clinic and retired in 2001. After retirement he worked at Superior and Paine Furniture part time. He married Judy Richardson on November 13, 1979. He enjoyed life. Always welcoming and made you feel part of the family. Doing things with family and friends was his passion. He enjoyed woodworking, wood carving, building and welding. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and Bluegrass Music Festivals. Survivors include his wife, Judy of Rochester MN; six children, Rochelle Clement (Adam) of Rochester, MN, Donna (Randy) Parkin of Merrifield, MN, Suanne (Jeff) Beninga of Elk River, MN, Julie Everly (Tony Friedrich) of Zumbrota, MN, Tonja Odegaard of Rochester, MN and Michelle Miller of Stewartville, MN; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; one brother Raymond (Sandy) Clement of Rochester, MN and one sister Sharon (Jim) Decker of Castle Rock, CO. He was preceded in death by is parents, son Roland, grandson Zachery, four brothers and one sister. The family would like to thank Mayo Clinic Physicians, St. Mary and Eisenberg Nurses that were involved in his care and a special Thank You to Mayo Hospice. Memorials are suggested to Mayo Hospice or St. Jude's Children's Hospital. A visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Inurnment of his cremated remains will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens at a later date.
