Roberta "Bert" Heitman, 71, of Rochester, died peacefully after a lengthy illness of cancer, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. Roberta was born on November 1, 1947 in Red Wing, Minnesota to Robert and Raeburn (Banick) Ramthun. She married Larry Heitman on June 14, 1969 in Mazeppa, MN. She was a graduate of Mazeppa High School. Roberta went on to work for IBM for 17 years, Pemstar for 15 years, and Benchmark for 2 years finally retiring at the age of 62. She enjoyed golfing, riding in their corvette, and the company of her grandchildren and many friends. Roberta is survived by her husband, Larry of Rochester; daughter, Dawn (Latham) Hensel of Rochester; son in-law, Travis Frydenlund of Byron; five grandchildren, Deshawn Hensel, Dylan Hensel, Kylie Frydenlund, Avery Frydenlund, and Tyler Frydenlund; sisters, Janice ( Keith Robert) Jones of Zumbrota, Rita (Sam) Brown of Michigan, Paula (Greg) Blakstad of Zumbrota; brother, Keith Ramthun of Rochester and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Ramthun; and daughter, Denise Frydenlund. A celebration of life visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN 55901.
